"I Cannot Be A Nazi Because ..."

 I have a sibling that is a huge Trump Supporter. And before Trump they were already really unhinged on the subject of Politics. Really good person, except when disagreed with about politics. Then would absolutely lose their ever lovin' mind. Because of the total inability to have a conversation instead of an emotionally fueled tirade a lot of family members cut them off on social media and limited contact. Was/Is very distressing.

And, in order for some things to make sense later on, I normally do not make this distinction at all, this sibling and I share a Father. We have different Mother's. I know their Mother and have a good relationship with her. And, to me, Family is Family. So, to me, a sibling is a sibling and I do not do the half shit. I just needed to put this out there for clarity on a later point.

A little while ago I wrote a piece about the "election" of Trump to a second term called "America's Post Mortem" which you can read as I have linked it in the title.

I sent this to the sibling, via text message, knowing that it would upset them. And saying so in the message. I also stated that I was hoping that we could have an actual conversation about what I had written.

About five or so minutes later my phone rang. The caller ID said it was this sibling. I did not answer. 1) I knew that in this time frame I was about to get an emotional response. And I, quite frankly, was not up for that. 2) I was actually doing something at the moment so I was well equipped to not have to answer right then. About ten minutes later, when I was finishing the thing that I was doing, I texted back saying that I would call later.

I received a long text response. Long enough that it was actually broken down into two texts. And I have been sitting on replying to this for a while. I know what I want to say, just trying to find a way to say it that will land for the sibling. Then, today, I realized that it does not matter how I say it. It still is not going to land over there in any way that will be sensible. So, I am going to break it down one piece at a time with my response to it and then see what happens.

Your words match my expectations of them."

I just love how they read some of the blog post. Another words, they skipped all the history and went right to the conclusions. And then finds that it is nothing but "talking points" that "all agree with the narrative of the Left". And my words match all his expectations.

And that is what happens when you skip all the important parts and just cherry pick the parts that match your preconceived notions of what you are reading or hearing. And, it is exactly what the Right has been doing for decades. And, like gas lighters everywhere, they then accuse the Left of doing exactly what they are doing. Just remember folks, that with the Gaslighting Right every Accusation is a Confession.

Interestingly enough, I do not remember hearing them call Trump, or his supporters, Hitler or Nazis even once. They did say that others, like a former General for example, that had called Trump a Fascist had a lot to go on. And, after the Madison Square Garden Trump rally did say that the hate coming out of there matched Hitler Rallies of the 1930's.

Myself, I do say that He is a full on Nazi and his supporters are full on Nazis. If you support a Nazi you are a Nazi. Straight up.

Now this part is why I had to make the relationship distinction that I normally do not. Their Maternal Grandfather did survive the Nazi Death Camps of WWII. And after the war he emigrated to the United States and built a good life for himself and his family. I do not know his political affiliations or anything like that. I met him once for only a few moments.

And, because this sibling is, by heritage, Jewish feels that their being a Nazi is impossible.

And, what you do not get, my dear sibling, is that Hate is Hate. Hitler hated Jews and had a long European history of hating Jews to build on when he was spreading hate. If Hitler had been in America it would have been Jews, Anti Semitism was still real big in the States in those days, any People of Color, Latino people, Native Americans, Asians of all types, and most definitely Immigrants.

Because, in America, we have a long history of hating all these people. And that is what he would have built on. Just like Trump is doing now. Because, it does not matter who you hate, as long as you hate. Then Nazis come along and weaponize it.

And after they have weaponized your hate they then can convince you of the most heinous shit. And you will support the disappearing of people. Like the immigrants you have been convinced are not Human.

And, Jewism does not protect one from being a Nazi. Look at Benjamin Netanyahu and the current Israeli Government. That is a full on Nazi Government that is doing Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing in the Gaza Strip. They have become what they cry "Never Forgive, Never Forget" about.

So yes, you may have Jewish heritage, and you are still a Nazi. And your Hate and Fear have been weaponized and you have made People into Not People. That is what Nazis do.

I just love this. This just is the perfect example of what happens when you allow others to tell you what to think. Kamala being a Communist is so far from reality as to be laughable. There is nothing in her public or private life that points to that and yet the Right, fueled by talk radio and fox "news", screams that. And there little acolytes scream it because the cult that is the Right tells them this so they figure it must be true. It is weaponized Anger and Fear.

And her Father, Donald Harris, a Professor of Economics at Stanford University, did write a book. It is called "Capitol Accumulation and Income Distribution" he critiques modern economic theory. When on Wikipedia I found the following, "Harris employs mathematical modeling to explore the relationship between the accumulation of capital and income inequality, economic growth, economic instability, and other phenomena, arguing that typical theories fail to adequately consider power, class, and historical context.". Pointing out that the massive accumulation of wealth by a few and that John Maynard Keynes and Karl Marx did make valid points at times of course makes him a communist in the eyes of the people who want to accumulate massive amounts of wealth at the expense of the rest of us. Except, it ain't true.

And yup, Harris did have a boatload of money for her campaign. She does not have $20,000,000 in debt after the campaign. A quick Google search shows she came out not owing a penny anywhere. The Right will never believe this because they have been told differently and thus what they are told must be true.

And, after four and a half months of the disaster that is Trump I so wish she was in the Oval Office instead of the Traitorous Nazi that is.

None. The Democratic Party, in a massively stupid move, got scared and pressured Joe Biden to drop out. He then endorsed his Vice for the job. That is how it happened. So what?

Yes. They did. And, there is more and more evidence that the Right stole the election using Elon Musk's Starlink to get into the voting machines in the four swing states that mattered. Those being Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. The numbers reported do not add up to the numbers showed in the exit polls. And, hate to tell you, not really, it was by the slimmest of margins in the popular vote. It was no where near a "landslide" that the Right would like you to believe. The numbers reported and the actual numbers in votes are way off.

And, the "losing narrative" is still popular by every metric there is. Even in the Republican party. When you get Republicans to talk about specific policy issues, a Living Wage, Reasonably priced or single payer Health Care, Economic Prosperity, Climate Crisis Fix, etc, are all really popular.

I project that, if the Traitor Trump and his minions have not found a way to stop it, and we have the mid term elections, if we can keep Musk and Starlink out of it, then the House and the Senate will both flip. And flip hard.

That is a great sentiment. Except that, the Right has been trying to destroy the Constitution since the beginning. They hate all the parts that promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. They want Minority Rule by them. That has been the plan from the beginning. It is all to protect White Supremacy. If you go back to the arguments about accepting the Constitution in 1787, and the compromises that were made to get them to accept it, and all of the legal fights since then, you will see that throughout our history there has been a constant fight, by the Right irregardless of the party affiliation of the time, to restrict the rules so that only Right Believing White Protestant Men to rule. Minority Rule.

And look at what the Traitor Trump and his people are doing present time. They are dismantling the Rule of Law and the United States Constitution right in front of us to make the United States of America the Nazi States of America. A Dictatorship. Look around you and see.

And the extremists are still screaming about this. Including my sibling. Because facts have nothing to do with their weaponized outrage. After all, the Republican Party has not let facts get in the way of good outrage for a long time. Because Nazis do not deal in Facts. They deal in Fear, Blame, and Hate.

So the first thing that I am going to do is invite you to go HERE where the ACLU has written about this issue. And my sibling probably won't because the narrative on the Right is that the ACLU is a Communist organization bent on destroying the United States instead of what it actually is a legal organization who's sole purpose is to Protect the United States Constitution and help expand Freedom for Everyone.

This just shows how far off the deep end that the Right has allowed themselves to be taken. How is being this unhinged from reality "Protecting Freedom"? It is not. It is allowing one self to be emotionally manipulated in order to commit Othering of Human Beings. And, once you have successfully Othered people it is a very short step to making them Not Human. Atrocities and Genocide follow.

And, FYI, there are absolutely No Woman saying they have actually been bothered by Trans Gendered people. And all sorts of Real Reports of Sexual Assaults and Mis Conduct by Republican and Religious Men. There are more Sex Offenders in the Trump Administration than there are Trans Gender Athletes in the entire Sports World.

And here is the biggest complaint from the Right. That we do not Tolerate their views. Sure we do. And, we are perfectly willing to call Bullshit on them when you voice them. The Right to Free Speech does NOT protect you from others calling Bullshit on you. Especially when those views deny the Right of Others to exist as who and what they are. So Fucking get over yourself.

My statement to them is, If you feel like you are being attacked and marginalized then imagine what it has been like for people like me for the last 40 years watching you folks on the Right attack and demonize everything that I stand for just because Talk Radio and Fox "News" told you too. You have been calling me names and demonizing me and those like me for 40+ years and we start fighting back and all of a sudden you are offended? Get over yourself people.

The Right has become Nazi. It did not happen over night. It happened over time. And it was driven by Propaganda paid for by the Rich and Powerful in order to get us where we are at this moment in time. With a Nazi in the White House, a Supine Republican Party who have abandoned whatever ideals of Freedom they may have had left, a Democratic Party that has no Spine at all, a new Schutzstaffel called ICE running all over the Constitution and Civil Rights, the gutting of our Government for Private Profit, a News Media that has abandoned it's duty to report Facts and is instead being "Fair", Edward R. Murrow must be spinning in his grave, the 4th Estate is no more, and one arm of the Government, the Executive Branch, completely ignoring the the Supine Congress and the Judicial Branch thus making the a Unitary Government.

And my question is why do you think that we did this? I know that, for myself, I could no longer handle the Rants that were pure Anger and Hate that had no logic in them. I could no longer deal with the fact that it was never a discussion with you. It was always you screaming and yelling over me with no logic, no facts, just hate filled invective about how other people, people like me and others who viewed the world different from you, were to blame for all your problems and that we were not human to you anymore. I not only unfriended you, I blocked you completely so that I no longer had to deal with that as I was tired.

I also realized that there was no getting thru the wall of Hate and Anger that you had around you. Facts, Truth, none of that mattered. It is all Anger and Hate for you and your fellow MAGA's. Your Emotional Center, your Amygdala, has been Hi-Jacked in the name of Ideology which allows you to be controlled by the forces of Darkness. You have truly pledged your self to the Dark Side. And I cannot deal with that anymore. So, Unfriended and Blocked.

Here you go. I am going to send you this. I hope that you have the courage to read all of it. Every single word all the way thru. And then, maybe, have an actual Conversation.

And here is the major tragedy of al this. I know that this is as true a statement as has ever been made. I know that they believe this to be true, and for them it is. And they believe that the best really is to turn our country over to the Nazis. And that their Love is real. That is the real UGH of the whole thing.

And I know that they truly believe this as well. That this is another True Statement in their eyes. Again, blinded by Emotion to the Truth of what they believe to be best for all.

So there it is folks. This is what we are dealing with. In most cases, kind caring people who would give the shirt off of their back, who have been emotionally Hi-Jacked over several decades, that believe that we are headed in the right direction and will ruin everything to be right.

And here is something else to remember, the True Believers, as my sibling is, will never abandon Trump and the Nazis. Because it has never been about policy and what they can do for them, it has always been about Hurting those that they have been indoctrinated to Hate and Fear. They will support them as long as they are Hurting those they Hate. And Destroy Everything that matters to do it.

I do not have any answers to this that do not involve a lot of violence. I wish that I did.

We have an Administration that is acting Outside of the Law. It is not Restrained by a Supine Congress. It is not Restrained by the Judicial System, although they are trying to be a restraint on the lower levels, and they have an Armed Force that Acts Outside the Law while being Abetted by Regular Law Enforcement in ICE, AKA the new Schutzstaffel, and so called "Militias" that are actively and violently supporting all of this.

So all that I can see is another Civil War.

I would really like to be incorrect about this.

This took me a while to write. 1) It is really draining emotionally to look at all this and be in response to all this instead be in react to all this. I hope that I did a decent job. 2) I got really sick for a little over a month in the middle of this. Came close to not being here any more. It took me a long while to recover from that and to have the energy to tackle this.
